As of the 23rd of March (next Monday) South Africans will be able to buy Vitaminwater in select retail stores in Jozi and Cape Town. We’ll be one of six countries, outside of the USA stocking and selling the hugely popular line of water by Glacéau. Others include Australia, Canada, Great Britain, New Zealand and Mexico. Now you might not be aware of this, but rapper 50 Cent bought a 10% share in the soft drink chain in 2004. A flavour was dedicated to him too called Formula 50. In 2007 though, the company was bought out for a cool $4.1billion by Coca-Cola, so with 50′s 10% share, he wasn’t too upset
He was rumoured to have made a whopping $400million out of the deal. Not bad hey? So he can rap, act, secure business deals… DAMN! What else has 50 got got to share with us?
I love this line of water. For me, not only does it taste good, but it’s refreshing and nutritious. Check out the official site for more on the line, but this line also has good memories. Working in Aspen, Colorado a couple of years ago, I virtually lived on the stuff. It is competitively priced and it compliments many a meal Love it love it! Glacéau Vitaminwater will be available in 6 different flavours next Monday. These six varieties, all with their unique combinations of nutrients, are: glacéau vitaminwater power-c (dragonfruit), glacéau vitaminwater essential (orange-orange), glacéau vitaminwater energy (tropical) glacéau vitaminwater super-v (lemon), glacéau vitaminwater xxx (acai-blueberry-pomegranate) and glacéau vitaminwater revive (fruit punch).
Go get yours! I most certainly will- gosh I think I’d be a great brand ambassador!
