The search to find America’s next Idol is getting tighter with every passing week. We in South Africa have just seen the latest episode in which the top 13 (yes 13) was announced. They are:

Ashton, Stefano and Naima were the wild card entries on the night, who just made it through thanks to the judges.
For me, I think this is a really strong group this year. I particularly like Lauren, Pia, Thia and James Durbin. Apparently James doesn’t like being compared to Adam Lambert, but let’s be honest, you can’t help but do exactly that. Will he be luckier than Lambert this year? I think America needs a female Idol this year. The last couple of winners haven’t exactly done wonders on the charts. Do you agree? Who are your favourites?
