Check out Greenday’s ¡UNO! promo

Rockers Greenday are currently in studio. They’re hard at work with not just one album, but three. What will they be called? Well how about ¡UNO!, ¡DOS!, AND ¡TRÉ! The albums are set for release on Monday, September 24th; Monday, November 12th 2012 and Monday, January 14th 2013 respectively. On being asked about what to expect from the trilogy the band members said, “We are at the most prolific and creative time in our lives. This is the best music we’ve ever written, and the songs just keep coming. Instead of making one album, we are making a three album trilogy. Every
song has the power and energy that represents Green Day on all emotional levels. We just can’t help ourselves… We are going epic as fuck!” Love it! Check out the trailer for ¡UNO!, above.

Music chart news

It’s been a relatively quiet week on the music chart front this week, but I am introducing- as promised- the chart news from the Nokia Music Store this week. Without further ado, here is what’s going on in and around the world in music

SA Idols winner Jason Hartman. Hi songs “Break the Silence” is the most downloaded track of the week. Nice one J Album

Billboard number 1 album
Greenday jump straight into the number one spot with their new album “21st Century Breakdown” in the US.

21st Century Breakdown from Greenday

Green Day are all set to make a massive impact with their 8th studio album 21st Century Breakdown, coming in May. You’ll remember their last album sold in excess of 5.8million copies and this one is set to do the same. The band’s singer and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong said, “After Idiot’s success we asked how much more ambitious can we be. We could take a sideways step or go back to our roots. We chose to move forward.” More on this album in the coming weeks!
