The Oscars 2012 – The Descendants, Woody Allen win

Angelina Jolie is up to present an award now. She’s presenting the award for the Best Adapted Screenplay. The winners are Alexander Payne, Nat Faxon and Jim Rash, The Descendants

Showing some of their leg (like Angelina) Payne said on behalf of the three, “We bow to our fellow nominees. My mother is with me. after watching the show a few years she said if you ever win another Oscar you’ll dedicate it to me. “

She also presented the award for Best Original Screenplay. Angelina accepted the award on Woody Allen’s behalf. He won the award for Midnight in Paris.

The 84th Academy Awards are here

Awards season is coming to an end and while you might be sad that the glitz, the glamour and the prestigious ceremonies are ending for another season, there’s still one major awards show to go. That being the 84th Academy Awards, which happens tonight (tomorrow morning if you’re in my timezone). Will The Artist take home top honours at the awards? Who will win between Viola, Meryl and Michelle? It’s anyone’s guess at this point, but it’s going to be awesome nonetheless. Awards Season 2012: Full list of Critics’ Choice Award winners

Award season rolls on. Last night the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards took place and the silent film The Artist looks as if it might heading for Oscar glory come March. Martin Scorsese scooped yet another lifetime achievement award and George Clooney beat out his buddy Brad to take home the Best Actor trophy. This Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards will start to establish a clear path to Oscar glory, so let’s see who comes out on tops this Sunday.
