So check out her blog here for more from Cannes. Yours in jealousy :) Jason

Panic At The Disco… blogging

Ryan, Jon and the rest of the guys from American band Panic At The Disco is a blogger, like many of you out there… Here is last blog post:

“today the boys and i leave the united states, heading to south africa for our very first time. note to self, this is one of those moments to remember when someone ever asks you “what are the best moments you’ve had?”… granted the trip could end up being a disaster, which i highly doubt, but the feeling of getting to go places to do what we do is overwhelming, in a good way. talk about self-enlightenment. expect trip updates on the thing with 3 t’s. now its time for laundry and lunch. be well!”

Be sure to follow their first trip to South Africa for Coca-Cola Zero Festival here

2009 South African Blog Awards

I have been nominated for two South African Blog Awards in the categories of Best Entertainment Blog and Best Music Blog. This is really exciting. I didn’t really expect that, so thanks for the nominations. Now there wont be any in-your-face campaigning, shirts or albums released in the hopes of scoring votes like our politicians. Instead, if you think this this blog is worthy of your vote, then please cast it here. You must also check out some of the other nominees; there are some great bloggers out there. So vote and read at the same time, oh the beauty of having several tabs open at the same time :) Thanks for reading, thanks for interacting and making Off The Charts what it is. J

P Diddy/ P Twitty TV

Ok so I’m following Diddy/Twitty on Twitter (iamtwitty if you’re interested) and PTwittyTV is constantly being updated by Piddy, Puffy, Diddy or wha’ever you like. So check out this episode of PTwittyTV, coming to you from a pool in Miami:

You gotta give it to Diddy, he is so entrepreneurial. He’s using the power of social networking to further his brand. Clever clever man. Follow Diddy and me at twitter.com

Rihanna/ Brown incident inspires a PSA- Do Something

It’s been quiet on the Chris Brown/ Rihanna front, but a site that isn’t taking the domestic violence issue lightly is dosomething.org. On the site you can find a cause that is close to your heart and you can do your bit to help raise awareness and show your support to those affected by the issue at hand. Now due to leaked police records on what happened on the eve of music’s biggest night between Brown and Rihanna, those running the site have created a ‘reenactment’ of the prevailing events. It’s a disturbing, but the message is strong. See the video below:

This is a fantastic site for those who are victims or for those who want to pledge and/or donate. There are resources, contact details, forum platforms and personal stories of some victims. Click here to read this moving story from Kristen Rambler. Initially it seemed as if Rihanna had rekindled her relationship with Brown- along with the pregnancy and wedding rumours- but now it seems as though the two are taking a break. I think that’s wise. They need space and both clearly need to deal with their respective issues. I urge you to visit the site and participate in a cause close to your heart… It will make a difference.

Amy pleads not guilty

REUTERS
Soul singer Amy Winehouse, fresh from St Lucia, says she ain’t guilty and does not wish to be incarcerated like her soon-to-be-ex Blake. The 25-year-old told the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court that she did not assault one of her fans at a party last September- and is in fact not guilty of the common assault that she’s been accused of. According to The Associated Press Wino’s lawyer, Mark Haslam, apologised for her late arrival. She’d apparently left her home two hours before her court appearance, but she’d been delayed. Maybe the paps got in her way… she did seem to be loving the media attention she got, smiling away and posing for them before going inside. The case has been postponed until the 23rd of July.

It seems like the move from Camden to North London is doing Amy the world of good (for now). According to her official site, she’s gearing up for a busy Summer, working on her third album and gigging at several gigs around the UK. Nice Wino, hope the ‘Rehab’ singer has cleaned herself up a bit. Oh just had a thought. How entertaining would it be to have Amy opening for Michael Jackson…. “thank you, my Blake… I love you, I really really love you”. Between the weave and the plastic, that could be well entertaining!!! I would definitely find a way to get to that show

Baby # 2 on the way for Nicole Richie & Joel Madden

richie_madden.jpg
Lionel Richie has barely had the opportunity to master the art of being a grandfather, but he’s going to have double up on the lessons. Why? There’s another little Good Charlott’un on the way. Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are expecting baby number 2. The couple already have a 13-month-old Harlow. This is really great news. I think becoming a mother has calmed Ms Richie down a lot and she seems to be loving being a mother. As for Joel, I remember when he was out in South Africa last year, he gushed over his little daughter and said it was pretty difficult to leave both Nicole and Harlow, to tour the world. Joel says on the band’s blog: Continue reading
