Jolie, DiCaprio, Bono, Branson and more for COP17

Next week all eyes will be on Durban, South Africa when COP17 kicks off. The Conference of the Parties or COP members have been meeting since 1995 to discuss the affects of climate change on the world and how we have dealt with and are dealing with this major problem (or crisis). This year some 190 delegates from around the world will all descend on the coastal city next week. According to TimesLIVE, a few of those delegates include UN goodwill ambassador, Angelina Jolie, billionaire Richard Branson, Bono, Leonardo DiCaprio, CNN founder Ted Turner and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I’ll be honest, I’m not an expert in this field, but I’m going to do my best to school myself and learn as much as I can while the conference is on. Climate change is a matter that might not affect us as such, but it will affect future generations. So reading up on this, following the progress of the conference on Twitter, Facebook and Youtube, among other media outlets is important next week and beyond. I urge you to do the same.
