Vuzu’s V-Entertainment will celebrate its 1000th episode next week and to mark this massive milestone and occasion, the channel is bringing back the original V-Entertainment host, Nonhle Thema. Did you think she’d disappeared? Did you think she was overs? Not a chance… You can #SITDOWN. She will #BuyYou if you disrespect her #BOOM.

V Entertainment’s original host Nonhle Thema is returning to the show’s hot seat to celebrate the landmark 1000th episode of Vuzu’s popular live entertainment show.

Thema will be there to guide the gossip, peace-making, revelations and more – including when a host of A-List celebs gathered at a Joburg restaurant to mark the occasion.

The very special episode of V Entertainment – to be broadcast on Wednesday, 24 April at 18:00 – again confirms the live show’s status as providing the freshest local and international celebrity news, views and interviews on air. It’s a combination that has earned the show loyal fans throughout South Africa over the years.

The proof of V Entertainment’s pull is that many of those at the intimate A-List dinner celebration were seeing each other for the first time in ages, having had the kind of beef that’s unlikely to be classified as clean by scientists with their microscopes!

Lindsay Lohan should go live on a secluded beach

Seriously for someone her age (24), this young lady really is towing the line and pushing her luck. Question is, how much more can she do? Just look at this short list of quite frankly, utter stuff ups:
- She’s constantly in the headlines but for all the wrong reasons. She was recently released from the Betty Ford Clinic California, after admitting to having a drug problem.
- She’s been served a few DUIs
- She has been accused of battery
- And now she’s been accused of theft.

She plead not guilty in the LAX Airport Courthouse yesterday, after being accused of stealing at $2500.00 necklace from a upscale jeweler in Venice, California. The Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz told Lohan that she isn’t special, “Everybody else has to follow the law. You’re no different than anyone else. So please, don’t push your luck.” The case has since been postponed to the 23rd of this month.

This has actually become quite a joke now with many news outlets going with stories relating to Lindsay’s court dress sense.

And it would appear as though the star isn’t impressed by these headlines. She took to her Twitter page saying, “Was on the phone with my sister&this movie Greenberg is on, i heard my voice which was odd- and ryhs ifans is watching Just My Luck in the movie- made me laugh.. i just want to be on set again, and left alone to just work! fyi- i would never steal, in case people are wondering. I was not raised to lie, cheat, or steal… also, what i wear to court shouldnt be front page news. it’s just absurd. god bless xox L”
Seriously. The girl is talented, really talented. Can she actually just leave America, go sit on a secluded beach somewhere in the world for a year and then resurface on the scene and stage the biggest comeback since Britney and Whitney. Please!

The new Britney Spears track has officially hit the Internet. Entertainment mogul, Ryan Seacrest got the exclusive (Obviously) and now you can have a listen below. I think the track is rad. It’s a nice, dancy direction for Britney. 2011 will be dominated by the bigwigs in music I feel, Britney being one of them. Let’s see what Beyonce has in store too!

Men’s Health Best Men Awards 2010

Last night I was invited to attend the Men’s Health Best Men Awards. The event was held in Kyalami at one of the venues in the office park. Very very nice I must say. A friend and I were really late, but nothing better then making a statement right? No, I’m a punctual person so it wont happen again- well I’m not in a hurry to repeat that. The venue was simply decorated, but effective in its execution. On stage when we arrived? Mr Trevor Noah, who had the duties of emceeing. He introduced one of the most talented singers in South Africa; the lovely Louise Carver. I really enjoy her sound, her performances and she just seems to be getting more and more comfortable on stage. She did a cover of one of Sting’s classic song “Fields Of Gold”. So brilliant it was, I might have to ask her to release a special version for me (and a few of you too- ha). Anyway, good work Lou. I had a fantastic evening. Everything ran smoothly, the food was delicious and all in all the Men’s Health team did a fantastic job. Well done to them all. Here is a list of the winners on the night:

Craig Native. Craig gave a very emotional speech. He told us that it was the anniversary of his late mother’s death and that if she was around she would have been his date. Cue lump in throat. He then went on to say that South Africa was the in the perfect position to set trends for not only the continent but the world over too. Nice one Craig

Day 1: Smirnoff Experience in London

After a long flight we finally touched down in London. There is something really cool about this city. It’s funky, vibey and things just seem to work. After checking in to the hotel, we decided to head on over to Madam Tussauds to do what we (as foreigners) are expected to do… the touristy thing. Let me tell you, Madam Tussauds is busy. We stood in a queue for close to two hours. When we got inside I couldn’t help but breathe a huge sigh of relief. First up the celebrity wax models. From Naomi Campbell to Justin Timberlake, Julia Roberts, to Will Smith to of course arguably the most famous couple in the world, Brangelina; they were all there among many others. Most of us will never get close enough to these A-Listers, so having a photo with their wax doubles isn’t all that bad I guess. More photos to come.

Perez apologizes to 'those who were hurt'

Will.i.am sings a song called “Heartbreaker“… it goes “I’m sa sa sorry, sa sa sorry, I didn’t mean to break your heart” and the rest you can google. Now it seems as though his rival and the man who fell ‘victim’ to him, celeb blogger Perez Hilton (Boom Boom Pow’d) is heating humble pie and apologizing for anyone who was hurt, offended. Here’s just a snippet off his site:

“People make mistakes. I have made many in my life, but this past week I have made more than I can count on one hand.

I am sorry. And I mean it. No one is forcing me to write this. I am not feeling pressured to say this. I am speaking out because I realize that the last few days have been more hurtful to me – and many others – than the repeated blows I suffered to my head in Toronto this past weekend.

I have been filled with incredible sadness and regret.

I am sorry that any good work I have done for promoting equality may be tainted by me reclaiming a hurtful word – that’s been personally used against me and the gay community – to hurt someone that was verbally attacking me. It was stupid.

Should you wish to read the rest, click here. Now you’ll recall that on Monday the blogger tweeted from his Twitter account, claiming that he was beaten up by Will.i.am. After much bitching to and fro from both camps and their allies, it came out that it was Will’s manager, Polo Molina who had been accused of throwning a punch or three. Why? Well again it’s alleged that Hilton called Hilton a “F-word”. Eish. So Twitter has been interesting, with petitions to stop Hilton in his tracks and reassess everything he stands for. I even had my say, to which he responded. In context, Perez was having a go at Travis McCoy, Katy Perry‘s ex. He basically called McCoy an idiot and said that he warned Perry about him- and this was after the Will.i.am incident. Here’s what went down:

@PerezHilton Do u enjoy provoking celebs? It’s not cool getting hit in the face, but look @ur msgs to @Travismtv and then u have to wonder!

PerezHilton@JasonVonBerg I could tell @TravisMTV to go sit on a stick that would still not excuse or allow him or anyone to physically harm me.

@PerezHilton agreed, but by calling people defamatory names is also a form of abuse…. verbal! I don’t condone violence, in any form!Peace!
