Grammys 2011: Lady Antebellum win Best Country Album

After a performance by Lady Antebellum, Miley Cyrus and the Kings of Leon presented the award for the Best Country album to Lady Antebellum:

“We just want to start of by saying thank you to Capital Records and EMI for making this such a big year for us. We also just want to thank God”

Jamie Foxx introduces Cee Lo Green and special guest Gwyneth Paltrow. They performed Cee Lo’s track forget you on what looks like the set of Sesame Street or the Muppets. A super performance by them two. I’m still at a bit of a loss as to why Gwyneth was asked to be the person to collaborate with him, but for the purposes it worked.

Start without You – Alexandra Burke Feat. Laza Morgan

Nice new song from Alexandra Burke, which has been topping the UK charts for the last two weeks. It’s written by RedOne (famous for working with Lady Gaga) and it features Jamaican star Laza Morgan. According to Wikipedia, the chorus is sampled from Hooray! Hooray! It’s a Holi-Holiday By Boney M. You might know this, you might not but she is the fifth winner of the hit-reality show The X Factor. Last week British tabloids reported that she was becoming more of a diva with her outrageous demands. Read this and make your own decisions but I think it’s a load of BS… Just saying!

Mariah vs Paramore… who will top the charts?

Mariah Carey‘s “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” and Paramore‘s “Brand New Eyes” albums will go head to head this week on the charts, as both vie for the top spot. Top class in their own respective genres, as hugely popular on the pop scene, both are expected to shift more then 150 000 copies each. So the question is, who will be triumphant? You’ll remember Mariah’s album was pushed back because they wanted to finalise the album and its offerings… in my opinion, it’s because they knew the album wouldn’t do as well as Whitney Houston’s and Jay-Z’s! Now that both have reached number 1, Mariah is free to make her way to the top… but will she? Check out the first single’s from Mariah and Paramore and you decide… holler:

If you’re in the Southern hemisphere, you’ll know it’s getting warmer so go out and get yourself a copy of this album. You will not be disappointed.

Liking this artist a lot… it’s Little Boots , straight out of the U.K. Born Victoria Christina Hesketh on the 4th of May, 1984, she’s someone quickly becoming a huge star in the world. Sean Kingston- Fire Burning

Sean Kingston possibly one of the most boring performers I have seen on stage. The star was out in South Africa last year- SEE VIDEO HERE. He was a little too arrogant for my liking and while I respect how well he has done, I just wasn’t really impressed with his performance and attitude. One thing I do think he’s good at though, is churning out the hits. This is the new track from him called Fire Burning (currently #7 on Billboard’s Hot 100). You like? Your thoughts on Kingston?
