The annual People’s Choice Awards took place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angelas last night. The show was hosted by Kaley Cuoco and there were performances from the likes of Faith Hill and Demi Lovato. While the host scored rave reviews and the performances are always fun to watch, it’s the winners that most people were concerned with (considering they were voted for by the fans). Greyson Chance- Waiting Outside The Lines

He was spotted by former American Idol judge and talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres, who signed him to her record label “ElevenEleven”. The song below is what catapulted him to instant fame. Currently it’s sitting on over 34million views…YOWZA! So next year could be the year for Willow Smith and Greyson Chance… FML!

JLo getting $12million to be an American Idol judge- seriously?

Simon and Ellen have left the panel. Kara DioGuardi was reportedly ‘fired’ and speculation was rife that singer/ actress and businesswoman Jennifer Lopez would be joining the American Idol panel (or rather Randy). Well it’s not officially confirmed. J Lo will be the other judge on the hit show- and it’s believed to be a deal worth $12million bucks. Shame, shit life for some hey! According to Deadline.com, the star and her team made several demands, which included a $15million package for one year on Idol. That would put her on par with the show’s host, Ryan Seacrest who signed a whopping $45million contract for three years. Fox saw past her demands and now it’s believed J Lo didn’t have an issue with settling for 12mill (who would? Damn).

So what do you think about J Lo being on American Idol? She’s a talented woman no doubt, but damn 12million for someone whose last movie tanked at the Box Office and was dropped from her record label too comes as a bit of a surprise to me. I also think the bosses at A.I. are desperate to get their ratings back up to number 1. Let’s see how they do!

Kara Fired, Ellen leaves American Idol… as well!

UPDATE…. yes Another: TMZ is reporting that Kara DioGuardi has been fired! WTF is going on with this show? Marketing/ publicity stunt to try and get more viewers and better ratings? Quite possible! According to the celeb site, the three judges on the panel will include Randy (Still… hopefully), Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith front man, Steve Tyler. Heavy days!!! If the J Lo deal falls through, then Kara will be given another shot. WOW!

So yesterday I made mention of Jessica Simpson possibly becoming the new American Idols judge. Well today’s update is that not only are the AI bosses looking for a new Simon, it appears they’re looking for a new Ellen too! The talk show host announced yesterday she was leaving the show after one season, citing a busy schedule and ‘not wanting to hurt anybody’s feelings’.

She said in a statement to E! Online, “A couple months ago, I let Fox and the American Idol producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on Idol and I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”

Now there’s talk of Jennifer Lopez becoming a judge… Seriously, with the ratings being low, top 10 concerts being canned and Simon and Ellen bouncing, perhaps it’s time to say “This WAS American Idol”… Just saying

So it’s been a month since the alleged beat down, in which R&B star Rihanna was left looking battered and bruised by her beau Chris Brown, but now the couple seem to be rekindling their love for each other. Love doesn’t always have to hurt Rihanna. Anyway now the two seem to be getting back into the studio, and- get this – they’re recording a duet together. All this while Chris has been formally charged with more than one felony. More on the song. It was originally intended for Rihanna, but now they’re both getting their emotions on in the studio. According to an article on celebrity site, TMZ, Producer Polow Da Don convinced both stars to record the track, while the ‘wounds’ and emotions are still raw and real. The song is about the ups and downs, trials and tribulations attached to being in a relationship. Hitmakers or breakers?
