Listen to Pink’s new single, ‘Try’

P!nk‘s new single, Try is so much of awesome. Loving it. It’s the follow up to the top 10, smash hit Blow Me (One Last Kiss) and is taken off her forthcoming album, The Truth About Love, which drops on the 18th. I’m missing the listening session on Thursday because I’ll be traveling abroad, but hoping to get a copy once I’m back in the country.

Grammys 2011: Eminem wins Best Rap Album

Rapper Eminem walked off with the Best Rap Album category. If you haven’t got a copy of this album, do yourselves a favor and go and get a copy as soon as you can. Recovery has put Eminem back on top. He thanked everyone from his family, to the producers of the album, the Shandy Aftermath family and to Rihanna too for her involvement in making the album what it is today! Nice one.

This was followed by a hot performance by Rihanna and Drake with What’s My Name. The chemistry these two share in this track is a site to behold. It’s still such a great song. Love it!

Finally! Music’s biggest night is here. Tonight the 53rd annual Grammy Awards take place at the Staples Centre in Los Angelas. Arcade Fire, Eminem, Cee Lo Green, Lady Gaga, Miranda Lambert, Katy Perry, Usher and Justin Bieber are just some of the performers who will be gracing the Grammy stage. Rihanna is also expected to perform, but the “S&M” singer is battling laryngitis and bronchitis, so hopefully she’ll be resting loads and will be strong enough to perform tonight. Another big performance to watch out for is from Christina Aguilera and crew. Fresh off her Super Bowl whoopsie, the star will take to the stage alongside Jennifer Hudson, country cutie Martina McBride, Yolanda Adams and Florence Welch (Florence and the Machine) for a special tribute to Grammy Legend Award recipient Aretha Franklin. They’ll being seeing R-E-S-P-E-C-T and I’m certain Christina wont be messing up those lyrics… we hope that is.

So a few things to watch out for: Continue reading

The MTV Europe Music Awards is one of the coolest award shows I’ve ever attended. Look I’m sure the VMAs are out of this world, but the EMAs are just as awesome. Now this year’s awards will take place in Madrid, Spain. Gaga and Katy Perry will go head to head in the major categories of Best Female, Best Pop and Best Song. Will Gaga clean up at another MTV awards show? Find out on the 7th of November, live from Madrid! See the full nominations list below:

I’m hearing talk show host Chelsea Handler did a fantastic job hosting the awards. If you check out this clip, you’ll see Handler getting ready to go live with a whole host of famous names tapping her ass, wishing her good luck. Now what I love about this clip is the surprise appearance Lindsay Lohan makes at the end. If you’re watched Handler’s show on E! you’ll know she took the liberty to knock the fallen LiLo when she started serving her sentence. That seems to be a thing of the past now as the two ‘kiss and make up’ in this clip. Well funny, especially love how Handler chirps “Thanks Freckles” at the end of the insert. Love it! What were some of your highlights from the show?
