What is up with Hollywood couples? Do they buckle under the pressure of being famous and trying to sustain healthy, happy and LONG relationships? I suppose it happens in ‘the real world’ too, but maybe it’s because these celebrities are under the constant, watchful eye of the press that makes it seem more sudden? Alas, the latest couple to join the long list of famous divorces is Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria and her soon to be ex Tony Parker. Longoria filed for divorce this week in California, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The two were married in 2007. Once the news had broken, she took to her Twitter account saying, “It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness.”
Allegations of him having an affair are doing the rounds. TMZ is going with two stories from Longoria’s camp:
“Extra” host Mario Lopez claims Eva has confirmed to him that she found hundreds of text messages from another woman on Parker’s phone.
Lopez says Eva also confirmed that the mystery woman is MARRIED to one of Parker’s teammates.
Sad times for these two.I hope this divorce is tidy, and speedy and that they both find the happiness they’re both after.
