The Band Perry performed on the Grammy stage. Their performance was dedicated to great Glen Campbell. Their performance was followed by Blake Shelton and then of course Mr. Campbell himself. Grammys 2012 – Rihanna and Colplay

Acoustic version of “We Found Love” from Rihanna, which then moved into the version we like. Great performance and the choreography is on point too. Slowing things down a bit, Chris Martin of Coldplay started singing Princess of China with Rihanna. The rest of the band then joined Chris Martin on stage singing their hit single Paradise. You might recall this video was recorded in South Africa last year. He doesn’t sound as good as he did during the concert, but it’s still a great performance.

Jack Black and all his groupies introduced Grammy winners the Foo Fighters. They’ve already won four awards tonight. They’re performing outside the Staples Center for fans. What a cool idea to get the normal people an opportunity to experience the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. Rocking

Grammys 2012 get going

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards are here. The show got going with a rocking performance from Bruce Springsteen. He kicked it off with a song called Take Care of Our Own as far as I can tell.

Host LL Cool J came on. “Thank you Bruce. Speaking to our times. We ask ourselves how to we speak to ourselves, this day. The only thing that feels right is to begin with a prayer.” A montage of Whitney moments is up on the screens. A performance of her singing I will always love you on the Grammy stage from a few years back. No doubt this brought tears to the eyes of many.

Bruno Mars, wearing a sick gold tux, put on a great performance of his track Runaway Baby. A nice way to lift the mood a bit.Let’s celebrate music.
