9 hosts for this year’s SAMAs

It was announced late last night that there will be nine hosts at this year’s South African Music Awards. The awards are set to take place at the Sun City resort in the North West Province this Sunday and Monday. So who are the nine? Pabi Moloi, Unathi Msengana, the original Idols winner Heinz Winkler, Sizwe Dhlomo, Zonke, Swazi Dlamini, Kabelo Mabalane and Jen Su. One more name will be released soon… the big question is, who will it? I say B for Bonang… let’s see what happens.

On the decision to have nine hosts, SAMAs CEO Randall Abrahams said “We have decided to reach for the stars – literally and figuratively – at MTN SAMA 18. Whereas in the past the awards only featured one or two hosts, this year we are significantly upping the star-power quota of the hosts, presenters and performers to dazzle the audience at the Superbowl as well as the millions of viewers glued to their TV sets at home.”
The main awards ceremony, on Monday 30 April, will be televised live on SABC1 from 8.30pm and will be streamed live via the website (www.samusicawards.co.za), the mobisite (www.mtnsamatv.mobi) and the MTN SAMA Facebook page (www.facebook.com/samusicawards).

OH WAIT!!!! I know who the other host is…. It’s really cool, bizarre and quite off the wall but it’s fun! I’m sure you’ll love it… Here’s a hint, it’s legendary!

Pics: Clayton Morar’s Celebrity Pass

One of my friends and media colleagues Clayton Morar had a big celebration recently. The occasion? To celebrate his first anniversary since launching ClaytonMorar.com. The party, held in the Mother City, saw some of the countries biggest names showing up to be apart of the festivities. Sadly, I wasn’t there but judging by the pics, a lot of fun was had! I’m told you can catch a few of the party highlight on SABC 3′s Flash this Friday at 9pm. Tune in.
