Lindsay Lohan not going to jail

It has been quite the year for old Lindsay Lohan. The star has been to rehab, come out of rehab. Relapsed, returned to rehab, returned to work (for a minute) and then she was embroiled in some necklace incident, in which the outcome was that she was sentenced to house arrest. So she has been pretty quiet, which isn’t a bad thing right? In fact the only sign of Lindsay we’ve all seen is the Internet commercial that surfaced earlier this week and a few paparazzi shots of her reading scripts and standing on the balcony of her Venice beach loft.

Well that was until it’s believed she flunked an alcohol test last week. As a result of the failed test, the star was ordered to appear in court earlier. It must be stated that in both tests Lindsay did test negative for drugs, which is good. Has she learned her lessons with drug usage? We can only hope so! With regard to the drinking, her lawyer told reporters on the scene that she was not breaking the terms and conditions of her probation, as alcohol is a legal substance and it wasn’t the booze that the judge was worried about. So in short LiLo has been ordered back into her loft to serve out the rest of her sentence. She is not allowed more than one guest at the apartment, besides her family according to TMZ.

Seriously for someone her age (24), this young lady really is towing the line and pushing her luck. Question is, how much more can she do? Just look at this short list of quite frankly, utter stuff ups:
- She’s constantly in the headlines but for all the wrong reasons. She was recently released from the Betty Ford Clinic California, after admitting to having a drug problem.
- She’s been served a few DUIs
- She has been accused of battery
- And now she’s been accused of theft.

She plead not guilty in the LAX Airport Courthouse yesterday, after being accused of stealing at $2500.00 necklace from a upscale jeweler in Venice, California. The Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz told Lohan that she isn’t special, “Everybody else has to follow the law. You’re no different than anyone else. So please, don’t push your luck.” The case has since been postponed to the 23rd of this month.

This has actually become quite a joke now with many news outlets going with stories relating to Lindsay’s court dress sense.

And it would appear as though the star isn’t impressed by these headlines. She took to her Twitter page saying, “Was on the phone with my sister&this movie Greenberg is on, i heard my voice which was odd- and ryhs ifans is watching Just My Luck in the movie- made me laugh.. i just want to be on set again, and left alone to just work! fyi- i would never steal, in case people are wondering. I was not raised to lie, cheat, or steal… also, what i wear to court shouldnt be front page news. it’s just absurd. god bless xox L”
Seriously. The girl is talented, really talented. Can she actually just leave America, go sit on a secluded beach somewhere in the world for a year and then resurface on the scene and stage the biggest comeback since Britney and Whitney. Please!

Lindsay Lohan fails drug test- sniff sniff

Lindsay Lohan has failed another drug test. This comes after her recent stint behind bars and of course rehab. Doctors were adamant that she was fine, clean and didn’t have a substance abuse problem. Well whoever those doctors are, they should be fired and their licenses revoked because this girl HAS ISSUES. As much as the doctors, her family and the industry are to blame for this, she is also to blame and my question is, WHEN WILL SHE GET IT? She was making a comeback, scored loads of great reviews for her participation at last week’s MTV VMAs, she has a movie out and apparently she was in talks with several top producers to star in their movies… and then she goes and blows it all away by slipping back into her old ways. She took to her Twitter account to clear up everything:

“Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result,” she tweeted late Friday.

Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn’t go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day. I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future.

This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I’m prepared to face the consequences.

I am so thankful for the support of my fans, loved ones and immediate family, who understand that i am trying hard, but also that I am a work in progress, just as anyone else. I am keeping my faith, and I am hopeful….Thank you all!!!”

I admit I’ve never been addicted to drugs and so it’s not fair for me to pass judgement on this. I’m sure it is difficult to kick the habit. Having said that I have two points to throw out there:
1. Lindsay Lohan has not only a younger sister and brother, but also a huge young following. This doesn’t set a very good example for them and let’s be honest, celebrities are idolised. If they see her acting like this, they might think it’s perfectly normal to behave in this manner.
2. I’ve said said this before and I’ll say it again, this woman is very very talented. She’s got a lot more to offer the industry and I actually think she could go on to be one of the biggest, most revered stars of her generation. If she carries on like this, I worry if she carries on like this she might not make it out. So please Lindsay Lohan, move to Utah or to rural Alabama for a bit, where there are no paparazzi or bad influences. Clean yourself up, take responsibility for your actions and get back on track. There is still time to make it right, but it has to happen

I’m hearing talk show host Chelsea Handler did a fantastic job hosting the awards. If you check out this clip, you’ll see Handler getting ready to go live with a whole host of famous names tapping her ass, wishing her good luck. Now what I love about this clip is the surprise appearance Lindsay Lohan makes at the end. If you’re watched Handler’s show on E! you’ll know she took the liberty to knock the fallen LiLo when she started serving her sentence. That seems to be a thing of the past now as the two ‘kiss and make up’ in this clip. Well funny, especially love how Handler chirps “Thanks Freckles” at the end of the insert. Love it! What were some of your highlights from the show?

Willow Smith signs with Jay-Z’s record label

So if you haven’t heard, the 9-year-old daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith, Willow Smith has just signed to Jay-Z record label, Roc Nation. This was confirmed yesterday on the Ryan Seacrest radio show. See the interview above. This is great news for her and to be working with the likes of Jigga- the mogul that he is- is a big opportunity. Rihanna is proof of that. Look at Willow, I think she’s chanelling her inner Rihanna not only in her style, but if you listen to the song below, the voice and music too. Willow Simith’s first single is called “Whip You Hair,” which is produced by newcomer Jukebox. It’s very catchy and is scoring the star in the making great reviews! Listen to the song below:

While this really is great news and I’m all for showing new talent, I just can’t help but wonder if nine is a bit too young to deal with this level of fame. I know Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson started their careers at a young age, and while their respective successes are remarkable, let’s face it Michael Jackson was a bit odd. Lindsay Lohan is another example of a child star gone off the rails. She may be on the mend now, but the things she’s been through in the last couple of years, many will never (thankfully) have to. I have no doubt Jay has her best interests at heart and Will and Jada will keep a close eye on her, but then that’s what Dina Lohan said she would do too. I don’t wish anything bad for Willow, in fact I wish her all the success she deserves, I just hope she gets to enjoy her childhood too!

Judge to LiLo: Be Free… sort of

Jailbird Lindsay Lohan is free- after not even two weeks behind bars. The actress/ singer was released at around 1:35 am local time. It’s believed she’s on her way to a UCLA rehab centre. Last week E! Entertainment had the Road To Jail: LiLo special… this week will hopefully be Road To Recovery. Let’s hope so!

This is probably one of the nicest mugshots around. Jailbird Lindsay Lohan started her 90 day jail stint yesterday and this was her mugshot. Looking tanned, blonde highlights touched up and no doubt some sort of permanent makeup applied. She obviously figured if it’s time to do this jail thing, she might as well look like a Hollywood doing it. Let’s see how long she lasts and hopefully she’ll learn her lesson, clean up her act and get back on track!

Lindsay Lohan to spend 90 days in jail

Yoh this judge isn’t messing around. 90 days in jail and in addition to that she will have to complete a 90-day inpatient substance abuse program once leaving jail. Maybe this will finally give her the wake-up call she needs!

Today many Americans will give thanks for the harvest (according to wikipedia) and express gratitude in general. What are some of our favourite celebs up to?

So while America has a lot to be thankful and grateful for, we do too. I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve been presented with this year… I’ve met amazing places, visited the most crazy and awesome places. I have loads of great friends, and the family… eish the family, they be my rock! Keep me sane, so I’m thankful
