This is my jam and what a way to get the new week going. It’s the new track from DJ Kent ft. Liquideep called  Top Of The World. Liquideep’s new album, Welcome Aboard is due out very very soon – cannot wait. More on that in the weeks to come.

2012 Sunday Times Generation Next winners

The annual Sunday Times Generation Next Awards took place at Montecasino on Thursday. The awards, in its eighth year, honours some of SA’s biggest brands and celebrities. Over 6000 youths between the ages of 8 and 22 from different backgrounds were surveyed by marketing company HDI. Bonang Matheba was the MC for the afternoon’s activities, which saw the likes of BlackBerry, Engen, Guess, DJ Black Coffee, Sophie Ndaba, Trevor Noah and Liquideep all winning awards. SAMA 18 – night one winners list

SAMA fever is here. The festivities kicked off at the Sun City complex earlier this evening. While this part of the awards wasn’t televised, it definitely was spectacular. The guests were treated to performances from the legendary stars Vusi Mahlasela and Ray Phiri, as well as performances from Lira, Selaeto Selota, Loyiso Bala & LLoyd Cele among many others. JVB Top 40 for 2010

It’s been another fantastic year in music. Usher and Eminem made huge comebacks, BFFs Rihanna and Katy Perry keep dropping big songs. Taio Cruz, Drake, B.o.B, Bruno Mars and Liquideep all graced us with their musical talents (and thankfully so) and Shakira, Freshlyground and K’Naan provided us with two of the biggest songs of the year during the FIFA 2010 World Cup, right here in Mzansi. Blazing- Zamajobe, Teargas, Goodluck & Liquideep join forces

Earlier this year, the Hennessy Artistry campaign saw some of SA’s finest musicians teaming up for a massive party. Not only was that a ripper but they also collaborated on a song called Blazing. Check out the video to see more. It features Zamajobe, Liquideep, Teargas and Goodluck.

Liquideep win big at MAMAs

South African house duo Liquideep walked off with the coveted Song Of The Year award at this weekend’s MTV African Music Awards. The song in question was the hugely popular Fairytale. The awards, in its third year now, were held in Lagos, Nigeria. Rapper/actress Eve hosted the awards, while performances from Rick Ross, T-Pain and Jozi were seen at the venue.
