Coming this October is the highly anticipated The Three Musketeers. Based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas, the action packed film, which will be released in 3D. It boasts an impressive lineup of stars including Milla Jovovich, Logan Lerman, Ray Stevenson, Matthew Macfadyen, Luke Evans, Mads Mikkelsen, Gabriella Wilde, James Corden, Juno Temple, Freddie Fox with Orlando Bloom and Christoph Waltz. Here’s a short synopsis of the film:
The hot-headed young D’Artagnan along with three former legendary but now down on their luck Musketeers must unite and defeat a beautiful double agent and her villainous employer from seizing the French throne and engulfing Europe in war.
In the build up to the release of the film, the theme song for the film was announced on Monday. It’s from UK band Take That and it is called When We Were Young. The guys from Take That were inspired to write the song after watching the film in Los Angeles with the film’s director Paul W.S. Anderson. The group’s Gary Barlow said, “The film is visually so rich and beautiful that our main challenge was to then match it musically. We’ve returned to guitars, real pianos and a conventional song structure to achieve this. We also thought that the Musketeers reminded us of ourselves.” Will this song live up to the hugely successful All For One from the original film back in 1993? Remember that one featuring Sting, Bryan Adams and Rod Stewart? Have a listen here.
Nu Metro films will release the film in October. Stay tuned, I’ll bring you more as it becomes available on this title.
