Edgy RiRi… but this is one of my favourite tracks off her ‘Rated R’ album. What are your thoughts?

American Idol: And the winner is…
I’m quite stoked about this one. I think Lee is perfect Idol material. I think his voice is refreshing and I think he has similar, humble qualities to the original winner Kelly Clarkson. Good luck to him. I can’t wait to hear his album. As for Crystal? She’s set. She’s do just as well I feel!
'Bionic' woman Christina Aguilera

The lovely Christina Aguilera is set to make a huge impact on the music scene come the 8th of June. The day she releases her fourth studio album. The first single premieres on her website later today (although it has leaked online already, so I’m told). The album is called ‘Bionic’. It’s described as showing how vocally she’s changed and how she’s pushing the boundaries with this new material. Aguilera has described this album as a unique mixture of all types of genres, “I was able to explore and create a fresh, sexy feel using both electronic and organic elements with subject matter ranging from playful to introspective. I am so excited for my fans to hear the new sound. It is something I don’t think anyone will expect.”
On the album, she’s again teamed up with Linda Perry as well as collaborations with the likes of Sia, Tricky Stewart, Polow Da Don, Le Tigre, Hill & Switch, and Ladytron and others. “Working on this album with so many talented artists and producers that I admire was really an amazing experience. The artists I chose to work with added so many unique sonic layers to Bionic. My intention was to step into their world and what they do combined with my own vision and sound. The results were magic.”
The video for “Not Myself Tonight” ChristinaAguilera.com at 6pm EDT on 3/30. So be sure to listen out and let me know your thoughts… I’ll do the same.
This woman is incredible: 30 million albums, 5 Grammys, a mother, a wife- and all that being under the age of 30.

I’ve just received word from Locnville’s record label. Their album will hit gold status soon (20 000 copies) but their big achievement is that they’re number one according to RSG’s SA Top 20 and they’re number 2 on the Musica, behind Now 54 (which they also feature on). Big up to the guys from Locnville!
Nelly Furtado – Mas (official music video)
So many of you will know that I’m a big fan of Nelly Furtado. Have been since her “I’m like a bird” days. I saw her take a completely different musical journey on her sophomore album ‘Folklore’ and I watched her let it all “Loose,” jamming opposite Timbaland and JT in “Promiscuous” & “Say It Right”. And now I’m listening to her first Spanish album, Mi Plan. Love it… well the sound. To be honest I have no idea what she’s singing about (note to self, take those Spanish lessons) but there’s something so intriguing about the Spanish culture, the music and the people. I be loving it! So above you will see the second single off the album called “Mas” and lucky for us English speakers, there are subtitles
Enjoy!
Farewell to yet another talent
It’s been a sad weekend indeed for the entertainment and music industry. First the news of Farrah Fawcett‘s passing on Thursday. That was followed by the sudden death of the King Of Pop, Michael Jackson. If that wasn’t enough, South African muso Fred Hayward (Bassist in Mean Mr Mustard) passed away after suffering a heart attack on Saturday. He, together with his band mates, were performing at Wildfees in Port Elizabeth. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. Rest In Peace Fred
