Twilight banks in big at the box office… surprised?

As vampire fever sweeps across the globe, The Twilight Saga: New Moon is sitting comfortably on top of the box office after it’s amazing opening weekend. New Moon opened up with $140.7 million and is fast on its way to becoming the best Autumn debut for a film. It might have smashed a few records and will continue to do so in the months to come, but it still wasn’t the biggest opening. “The Dark Knight” still retains the record for the biggest weekend debut with $158.4 million, while “Spider-Man 3″ comes in second with $151.1 million. Still, $140.7 million in one territory isn’t too bad! For those of you in South Africa, have y’all entered our competition yet? If not, check out the details here.

Twilight saga: Seacrest gets shot down

This is so pathetic on the publicist’s part. Ryan Seacrest was interviewing Robert Pattinson about the new Twilight film, New Moon at the official premier. One of the questions, the burning questions everybody is wanting to know is about the off-screen romance between R Pat and his co-star, Kristin Stewart. The publicist wasn’t happy with that and she quickly ushered R Pat out of the portable radio studio. Lame publicist, lame! Well if anyone is deseperate to find out what is going on this front and with other parts of the film and actors, check out this video from the press conference in Munich:

And don’t forget to enter our <strong>big competition here. you could be the big winner of a VOLVO C30, as driven by Edward in the film!

Then across the pond, Cheryl Cole is dominating over there… and how’s that for a start to your solo career. Not bad Ms Cheryl, although I’m not such a fan of the first single. Perhaps it’ll grow on me… the Brits clearly seem to love it and her of course!
