Easily one of South Africa’s top radio personalities has to be Sasha Martinengo. The 5FM will today celebrate his 5000th show on radio- DAMN! What an achievement. I’ve been listening to him for probably more than half of those shows. I guess you can say I’ve grown up with Sasha, so congratulations to him and thank you for being such a ripper DJ on 5FM.
On reaching this milestone the DJ says, “I’ve been in radio for 17 years. This is something I’m very proud of and it’s still something I look forward to every day. I’m a normal person. I try to stay humble and approachable. You don’t have to be controversial. You have to care about the people you’re speaking to.” To celebrate the achievement Sasha is throwing a massive party at Manhattan in Johannesburg tonight.
