Katy Perry ‘bounces’ back at Sesame Street debacle

Katy Perry is one of the biggest names in the world of entertainment at the moment. Her new album, Teenage Dream has hit the top of the charts around the world; she’s happily engaged and well things just couldn’t be better for her. Last week however, was a little different for the star. TV execs pulled her appearance off the linear broadcast of 41st season of Sesame Street, after their web preview sparked a massive outrage from parents of the young viewers- some even went as far as to ‘rename’ the show to “sex-with-me Street” Urgh! The issue was regarding the “inappropriate” outfit she wore during the reworked version of her song ‘Hot N Cold’. The show is geared towards an audience of ages one to six and the low-cut boob tube top didn’t leave much up to the imagination. Snore, boring blah blah!

So Katy has hit back this weekend, poking fun at the whole debacle on SNL. Check it out:

Blake Lively takes a swing @ 'Tiger' on SNL

Gossip Girl hottie (HOTTIE!!!!!!) Blake Lively appeared alongside Rihanna and the rest of the SNL gang on the hit show on Saturday night. She was tasked with playing Elin Nordegren, Tiger Woods’ wife on the show… funny. Taking the piss out of all the events that ensued last week with his extramarital affairs and ‘car accident’ and all. Hopefully the family can get some peace and quiet soon… some how I feel that won’t be happening anytime soon though, what with the 6th alleged mistress coming forward now? Eish Tiger versus the Cheetah…

Lady Gaga & Madonna on SNL?

Yes here it is, confirmation (at least for me) that Lady Gaga is the new Madonna of this decade. Well if it is actually them If it isn’t then this is simply hilarious, but I’ve said it before, I will say it again. Lady Gaga is the perfect 21st icon come pop star. She has so many Madonna elements, attributes about her, in addition to her own of course…. I think Gaga and Madonna should tour, Kanye’s been dropped… so why not replace him with the Queen of Pop?

Beyonce's calling on all Single Ladies

R&B diva Beyonce scored herself yet another number 1 hit with the song “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)”. Now if you haven’t seen the video then you’re missing out boys and girls. It’s awesome, the choreography is slick and the three ladies sure can move. The song’s pretty cool too.

A lot of people have tried to impersonate the video choreography (JT included- click here) without much success. So Beyonce is giving you the opportunity to create your own rendition of the song. All you need to do is to create a fan video with your version and in addition to winning $2500, your video could be showcased to Beyonce fans on her upcoming world tour (that’s world tour minus Africa- come on B, come see us man!) SNL could be "crazy" with Brown

Kenan Thompson is funny, hilarious… I love his work on SNL. Having said that though, his recent comments made to celebrity mag Us Magazine about the whole Chris Brown/Rihanna incident are questionable. Thompson tell the Magazine that Brown could appear on the show again if he produces another hit single, “We don’t care about scandal. We just care about what brings us ratings! If we had them both on the show, that would be crazy.”
