The ravishing Jane Fonda presented the award for Best Motion Picture Comedy or Musical to those involved in The Artist.

“In 1965 a young French man directed a short film and then prayed for a miracle to come. This film was nominated in 1966. This man was my father. So it is almost three years since he passed away and it is such a great honour to receive this award from the Hollywood Foreign Press. Thank you mostly to Michelle for everything that you are.”
