Brand new videos from Cheryl Cole and Locnville

So yesterday I brought you the first single from South African musical outfit Locnville and it just so happens that their new single music video was (at the same time) being uploaded to Youtube. Check it out above. These boys are gonna blow up this year and I reckon they have international appeal too so stay tuned.

Then check out Brit singer Cheryl Cole’s new video below. It’s the follow up to “Fight For This Love” off her number one album “3 Words”. The song sees her teaming up with BEP star Will.i.am (again- first time for his song Heartbreaker) on this track.

On a side note, did anyone in Cape Town spot Ms Cole partying it up this December? The singer, who is married to soccer star Ashley Cole will be back in the country come the World Cup, but she was jamming it up and apparently looking for the hot spots for her and the other WAGS come June!

World Cup Draw tonight!

This evening’s draw for the World Cup will decide the pools for the first round of next year’s FIFA World Cup. I cannot wait. Charlize Theron, David Beckham and a whole host of other international celebrities and high profile peops will be in Cape Town for the big draw. It’s going to be huge. All the street lights in Cape Town are functioning, the city has been cleaned up and from what I’m hearing it’s looking amazing. Jealousy is me! Anyways, this is South Africa’s- and Africa for that matter- big moment. Almost 200 million people are expected to watch the live broadcast and the spectacle that will follow it with performances by TKZee and the Soweto Gospel Choir to name a few. Can’t wait.

Now if you’re on Twitter, we’re keeping the conversation alive by creating awareness and hype around our country. These are some of the topics we’re trending and hopefully with your help we can make them one of the featured trending topics on the homepage:

Add these to anything South Africa, world cup related and help the cause :)

INTL_Invictus

The 11th of December is the day you need to diarise if you’re keen to watch the new Clint Eastwood film. It’s called “Invictus,” which is Latin for ‘unconquered’. The film, based on John Carlin’s book, ‘The Human Factor’ tells the story of former president Nelson Mandela after the fall of apartheid and how the 1995 Rugby World Cup played a pivotal role in uniting South Africa. The film features Hollywood A-listers, Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon. Hopefully we’ll get a red carpet event here in SA to celebrate the film’s release…. I’ll be SA’s version Seacrest and do the red carpet coverage Nu Metro ;) Haha. Can’t wait for the film. Oh and once we get clearance to use the trailer, you’ll see it here exclusively on Times LIVE. Stay tuned!
